PARKING, SMOKING, SKATEBOARDING, ANIMAL
&
BICYCLE REGULATIONS
- STUDENTS WILL
NEED PARKING
PERMITS FOR
DAY SCHOOL, NIGHT SCHOOL, AND SATURDAY SCHOOL.
- Vehicles parked in student parking lots, shall display a current, valid student
parking decal inside the vehicle in a seven inch square area of the lower front
windshield on the side opposite from the driver (passenger side), or after 7:00
a.m. display a vending machine daily permit on the vehicle dashboard.
- Vehicles parked in faculty and staff lots shall display a current valid faculty
and staff parking permit on the lower corner of the passenger's side of the
windshield that is CLEARLY visible.
- All parking decals must be attached to the windshield by the gum of the decal.
- All vending machine daily permits and temporary permits shall be prominently
displayed (face up) inside the vehicle on the dashboard on the left side of the
vehicle. If the vehicle that you usually
drive to school is not going to be used that day to drive to school, you must
obtain a temporary permit from C-119 (Campus Police) before parking on campus
parking lots.
- Students, faculty, and staff with permanent
disabilities may park in any student or faculty parking lot and blue
zones on City College Campuses only after obtaining a disabled person's
placard from the Department of Motor Vehicles (D.M.V.) and have
registered their placard number with the Campus Police (C-119). Failure to display a valid D.M.V. placard
and CCSF disabled person parking permit will result your vehicle being cited
and subject to tow. Students,
faculty and staff with temporary
disability placards do not have to register with the Campus Police
although they do have to display their placard.
- ALL VEHICLES SHALL BE PARKED IN A MARKED STALL. A stall is defined by two white parallel lines on the pavement in
designated parking areas. Any vehicle
out of stall will be cited. Only one
vehicle may park in a stall.
- Parking, stopping, and standing in red zones is PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES.
- Parking in yellow zones is limited to CRAFT and OFFICIAL DELIVERY vehicles,
by SPECIAL PERMIT ONLY! CALIFORNIA
COMMERCIAL VEHICLES ARE NOT VALID IN THESE ZONES!
- NOTES ON DASHBOARDS ARE NOT VALID PARKING PERMITS!
- A parking decal is valid ONLY for the vehicle for which it was originally
registered as indicated on the permit card. Permits may not be transferred from one vehicle to another. Your old permit will be voided if you sell
that vehicle, whereupon, a new permit will be issued for your new vehicle. All permit changes MUST be coordinated
through the Campus Police office (C-119), before parking on any City College
parking lot.
- Illegally parked vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense. For
towed vehicles, call 553-1235.
- MOTORCYCLES DO NOT REQUIRE PARKING PERMITS. Motorcycles shall park at the railings located in "A" lot,
"F" lot, and the area in front to B-302. Motorcycles parked anywhere else on campus WILL
BE CITED.
- THE CAMPUS SPEED LIMIT IS 10
M.P.H.-VIOLATORS WILL BE CITED!
- NIGHT SCHOOL PARKING: After 5:00 p.m.,
students not displaying a current parking permit (decal on windshield) must
obtain a daily $3.00 permit from the parking vending machine and may park in
any parking lot, EXCEPT E, CLOUD
CIRCLE, MARSTON ROAD AND SCIENCE CIRCLE.
- PARKING ENFORCEMENT FOR NO PERMITS,
COLOR ZONES, AND OUT-OF-STALL VIOLATIONS WILL COMMENCE ON THE FIRST DAY OF
INSTRUCTION, AND CONTINUE THROUGHOUT FINALS. For more information regarding parking
regulations contact the Campus Police, Room 119, Cloud Hall, or call 239-3200,
7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
- SATURDAY SCHOOL students without a semester
parking decal will be required to purchase a $3.00 daily parking permit from
vending machines and may park in any lot except Cloud Circle and Marston Road.
- NOTE: All citations issued by the San Francisco Community College Police Department and the City College Police Department are municipal citations. Bail is payable to: The Department of Parking & Traffic, 1380 Howard St., San Francisco, Ca., 94103 - Phone # 255-3900.
- BICYCLES: DO NOT lock bicycles
to light poles, trees, railings, or any places that interfere with vehicular or
pedestrian traffic. Bicycles should be secured to the bicycle rack
by the Student Union and other bicycle racks around the campus. Illegally or improperly secured bicycles
may be booted or confiscated by the Community College Police Department. Bicycles are prohibited in all campus buildings.
- In accordance with state law, smoking is
prohibited inside any campus building or in any outdoor area within 20 (twenty) feet of entry/exit doors. S.F.C.C.D.-AR 7.1302P, Gov.
Code 19994.30, Gov. Code 1999.31 & Gov. Code 19994.32.
- Skateboarding is prohibited on all City College Campuses.

Animals & dogs (except seeing-eye
dogs and service dogs) are prohibited on all District grounds or in District
facilities expect as provided under Administrative Regulation 7.13.02X. All dogs must be leashed and are prohibited
from running at large on district property in accordance with CCSF Health Code
Sec. 41.12(a).
